Aquarius Collection

”Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” ~Howard Thurman

Today is Saturday January 22, 2022, I’m feeling optimistic and creative today as I'm embarking on a new collection of hand painted silk fashion accessories. The Aquarian Collection is inspired by the winter sky, the color blue and the iconic peacock feather motif.

Nature Inspiration: Winter Sky, the Color Blue, Peacock Feather Motif

It’s been a while since I’ve felt the buoyancy brought by waves of creative enthusiasm. 2021's Dream Weaver Collection was a long time in the making, but 2022 appears to be off to an auspicious start! I’m riffing on Aquarian vibes, seeing the world as it should be, could be or will be. The winter season answers a deep need to bask in quiet restorative time alone, away from the hustle-bustle of everyday life.

Tuning into the beat of my inner drummer, looking to the sky, the color blue and the iconic peacock feather motif as inspirations for this new collection. My Aquarian Collection will include a rich variety of accessories from jewelry to home decor! I'm crafting silk scarflettes, a stylish hybrid of a scarf + jewelry elements, reworking several scarves, painting new Ruanas, wraps and scarves as well as a few flowing jacket-type garments and last but not least, bias cut charmeuse gowns! The sign of Aquarius belongs to the element of Air, so the winter sky and the moon in her phases have had an influence on my creative spirit.

Contemporary textile designers possess a sense of style that is uniquely independent and one of a kind. Our freedom of expression is extremely important to us, and in today's world we are destined to bring new ways of doing and looking at things and creating space to manifest with fresh enthusiasm. Relating to other fashion-lovers I’m dedicated to bringing abundant beauty to your wardrobe in the way of silk accessories, intuiting 2022's first collection from nature inspiration, the color of the sky and #bluemind, and hoping for the best outcome amidst the swirling trends and currents in todays busy world.

Looking ahead towards spring, I'll be busy in the studio completing the Aquarian Collection. My subscriber community will get first dibs on the Aquarian Collection, and then it will become available to the public after the next shop update.
